Since 2013, Endorphasm, founded by Erica Porter aka Jungle Grrrl of WOW: Women of Wrestling, has provided a fitness experience that strips away the bullshit, sharpens the mind and body, and helps individuals reach beyond their perceived limitations to accomplish their goals.

Looking to expand its contribution to the community, Endorphasm created The Endorphasm Foundation; a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering individuals to move past obstacles in their life by embracing the profound healing power of “endorphasm” and their community.

WHAT IS AN ENDORPHASM?

en-dor-pha-sm (noun, verb, adverb) the moment during physical exertion when you
feel that anything is possible.

WHAT IS BURPEES FOR BOOBS?
Burpees for Boobs has been the signature Endorphasm fundraising event since 2016. For the first 3 years, the proceeds went to the Massey Cancer Center in Richmond Virginia. However, with Erica’s Stage IV Breast Cancer diagnosis in June of 2020, the event now serves the Endorphasm Foundation and its mission.

It is a one-day fitness challenge to be held October 14, 2023 that asks gyms, studio owners, and individuals to participate in the completion of 500 burpees in one-hour or less. The task can be completed as a team or you can “ironman” it.

WHY 500 BURPEES?
Because burpees are badass; a beautiful, compact, whole-body event! And, living with cancer isn’t easy, so this challenge isn’t either.

HOW DO I PARTICIPATE?
Register individually or become a “supporter” or create a team.

Get all your friends (or members if you manage a fitness facility) to sign up or join your team and support the foundation and the amazing work Erica is doing.

On October 14, 2023, do your burpees in less than one-hour at any time during the
day.

Your donation goes directly to the Endorphasm Foundation and is tax deductible.

Your donations support:

  • Education and Outreach, oncology clinicians and patients
  • Membership costs to Endorphasm Foundation vetted facilities throughout the United States
  • CETI (Cancer Exercise Training Institute) trainer certifications and continuing education

WHAT MORE CAN I DO TO HELP?
Make a spectacle of yourself. Action breeds action! Set the tone. Post a picture or video of your badass self or group doing those burpees and tag:
@endorphasmfoundation
@endorphasm
#EFCancer
#EndorphasmFoundation

PRIZE
The organization/team that raises the most money will get a personal visit from our founder and a one-of-a-kind gift that will make everyone jealous…and bragging rights, of course.

WHY SHOULD I CARE ABOUT HELPING ERICA PORTER AND HER FOUNDATION?
Because Erica is doing great things for the community and is one of THOSE people. You know? One who lights up a room and would give the shirt off her back to help others. PLEASE visit Our Founder’s Story • Endorphasm Foundation to learn more. You will be inspiredhttps://www.endorphasmfoundation.org/our-founders-story/

WILL I GET A T-SHIRT?
YES! With a minimum donation of $35.

Wear it loud and proud. If you are part of a team, your team leader will submit final sizes and counts on September 22nd, 2023 and the t-shirts for all your team members will be drop-shipped to your team leader.

Please send your T-shirt information to carlo@endorphasmfoundation.org by September 22nd, 2023.

WHEN DOES REGISTRATION END?
There is no deadline. You can become a fundraiser or simply donate and do burpees the day of the event.

However, if you choose to be a fundraiser (which we really appreciate because it actively involves your whole social media roster,) for maximum success you’ll want to allow ample time to build your team and share your fundraising goals with your social universe.

We suggest you create your team at least a 3 weeks in advance of the event.

*Deadline for fundraising Prize is Monday, October 31st at 11:59PM

*Deadline for T-Shirts is Friday, September 22, 2023

WHAT KINDS OF SUPPORT PROGRAMS DOES THE ENDORPHASM FOUNDATION
PROVIDE?
The Endorphasm Foundation is both strategically and tactically focused:

  • First, we engage and recruit oncology clinicians to recommend their patients move through cancer, so that the individual retains control over a critical aspect of their care.
  • Then, we ensure these individuals are connected to the appropriate community-based programs, funded by the Endorphasm Foundation.
